The Easy Loader is the product of intensive research from some of the most experienced equestrian minds and finest UK engineers. Simply put, the Equisafe Easy Loader does exactly as it suggests. It trains and loads stubborn horses/ponies that are less inclined to load. Combining natural horsemanship and several uniquely engineered safety features, including a sophisticated single handed quick release unit that attaches to your trailer; this makes the Equisafe Easy Loader a non-confrontational and safe method of loading.
The problem We all either own or know horses that are reluctant to load and would agree that this is a very real problem. First and foremost, the Equisafe Easy Loader has been designed with two founding principles in mind – safety and training. As a training aid to be gradually introduced to the horses routine and a piece of safety equipment that will take the stress and danger out of loading your horse keeping both horse and rider calm and happy.
How does it work? On each side of the softly padded harness are 2 mechanisms, a line is drawn from each side and connected to the trailer using specially designed single-handed quick release attachments. As the horse is encouraged forward it will predictably make a rearward movement, this will activate the locking mechanisms applying pressure exclusively to the muscle group on the horse’s hind legs. When pressure is applied to this area it encourages the horse or pony to lift its hind leg and move forward. As the horse moves forward the lines retract allowing the horse to be safely and calmly guided into the trailer.
1. The harness should first be introduced to the horse calmly and quietly away from the trailer.
2. Lines from each side are connected to the trailer using safe, single-handed, quick-release attachments.
3. Any rearward movement activates the locking mechanisms.
4. Safely trains by applying pressure to appropriate muscle group.
5. The lines retract as the horse is safely guided into the trailer.
6. A calm and happy horse – safely loaded.
Safety first... The Equisafe Easy Loader has many built-in safety features from the reflective high-visibility strips to the single-handed quick release attachments. During each stage of development the safety of the horse and handler has been considered of paramount importance. Even in the unlikely event of a handler misjudging a situation the connectors include replaceable "Sacrifice Rings", constructed to an appropriate tensile strength these will simply break enabling the horse to dictate if release should take place.
